About us


Ketika Perhimpunan Kardiologi Indonesia (PERKI) didirikan pada tahun 1957, alm Dr.Gan Tjong Bing, pendiri PerKI, telah memperkirakan bahwa masalah kesehatan jantung dan pembuluh darah akan terus meningkat di Indonesia. Disamping itu ilmu dan teknoloji dalam bidang ini ternyata berkembang sangat pesat. Pada tahun sembilan belas enampuluhan perawatan koroner intensif (ICCU) mulai dikembangkan dan teknik resusitasi dan pertolongan terhadap henti jantung diaplikasikan secara terpadu di dalam suatu fasilitas oleh tenaga-tenaga terlatih.

Henti jantung, renjatan (syok), dan gagal jantung akut adalah penyulit yang menyebabkan angka kematian yang tinggi pada penderita sindrom koroner akut, khususnya infark miokard akut. Kematian ini bisa terjadi di luar rumah sakit maupun setelah masuk perawatan di rumah sakit. Antisipasi dan tindakan yang cepat yang tepat dalam menit-menit pertama oleh tenaga-tenaga terlatih akan mengurangi kemungkinan terjadinya henti jantung, renjatan, dan gagal jantung akut. Edukasi penderita penyakit jantung dan pembuluh darah dan publik akan membuat mereka lebih cepat mencurigai dan menyadari kemungkinan serangan jantung sehingga lebih cepat mencari pertolongan.

Perhimpunan Dokter Spesialis Kardiovaskuler Indonesia (PERKI) menyadari bahwa upaya ini tidak mungkin dilakukan semata-mata oleh para dokter spesialis jantung dan pembuluh darah (kardiologis). Sejak tahun 1997 PERKI telah mulai melancarkan program pelatihan Bantuan Hidup Jantung Dasar (Basic Cardiac Life Support) dan Bantuan Hidup Jantung Lanjut ( Advanced Cardac Life Support ), dengan terlebih dahulu menyiapkan tenaga-tenaga pelatih dan sarana. Pengembangan program ini ternyata memerlukan dana yang besar. Prioritas diberikan terlebih dahulu kepada para dokter umum dan non-kardiologis mengingat bahwa kompetensi dalam bidang ini yang diterima selama dalam pendidikan di fakultas kedokteran masih kurang. Meskipun demikian diberikan juga kesempatan bagi personil medik yang bekerja di perawatan intensif dan gawat darurat sesuai ketersediaan tempat. PERKI mengadaptasi dan mengadopsi Konsensus Pedoman ACLS yang dikembangkan oleh AHA-ACC yang terus diperbaharui.

Pelatihan ACLS-PERKI bersertifikat ini dilakukan bersama cabang-cabang PERKI di berbagai tempat di seluruh Indonesia, antara lain di Medan, Batam, Palembang, Padang, Jakarta dan sekitarnya, Bandung, Semarang, Jogya, Semarang, Surabaya, Bali, Makasar, dan bahkan di Papua. PERKI telah melatih ribuan dokter di seluruh Indonesia. PERKI juga bekerja sama dengan Departemen Kesehatan R.I. dalam pelatihan program penanggulangan gawat darurat.

Pelatihan ACLS-PERKI berlangsung secara intensif selama 3 hari dengan melalui kuliah terarah, diskusi interaktif, dan kerja tim, serta pelatihan keterampilan dalam skill station dan megacode dengan menggunakan alat-alat simulator yang paling modern. Untuk memudahkan mereka yang ingin mengetahui lebih banyak tentang program pelatihan ACLS dan BCLS serta untuk mendaftar, portal ACLS-PERKI ini dibangun dan akan terus disempurnakan.

Program Pelatihan ACLS-PERKI adalah salah satu komitmen PERKI bagi penanggulangan masalah kesehatan jantung dan pembuluh darah di Indonesia.
